The 4th quarter session for online training will open October 1, 2020 and will be open for enrollments through December 15, 2020. After this date uncompleted sessions will be voided and you will have to re-register after January 1, 2021.

We ask that you refrain from shaking hands, practice social distancing and utilize the hand sanitizer located throughout the building. If you do have any symptoms of the virus please do not come in the building.
The New River Criminal Justice Training Academy is one of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s eleven regional academies providing a wide variety of criminal justice programs for local law enforcement officers, jail officers, and communications personnel for its member agencies located in the New River Valley. Established in 1975, the NRCJTA mission is to provide "professionalism through training" to the officers and staffs of its member organizations by providing training opportunities based upon mandated skills requirements and specific identified member agency training needs. The primary objective of the Academy is to assist the professional growth and development of Law Enforcement, Jail, and Dispatcher personnel employed by local jurisdictions in its service area. For over 44 years, the New River Criminal Justice Training Academy has been committed to providing the highest achievable quality of program instruction to its member agencies.
