TRN/Online Classes
To sign up for online classes you must see your agency Training Coordinator. Once you have completed an online class through TRN, submit a copy of your certificate to Mrs. Worrell at records@nrcjts.org
The 1st quarter session for online training will begin on January 1, 2025, and will continue until March 15, 2025.
The 2nd quarter session will begin April 1st and continue until June 15th 2025
The 3rd quarter session will begin July 1st and continue until Sept. 15th 2025
The 4th quarter session will begin October 1st and continue until November 30th.
You will not be able to sign up for online classes after November 30th in order for all credit to be posted by December 31st, 2025
Basic Entry Level Law Enforcement Training
N.R.C.J.T.A. will be starting the first Basic Law Enforcement class of 2025 on January 16, 2025. Refer to the Pre-Employment Meetings section below, if you are interested in attending. The Basic Law Enforcement Class # 89 class will graduate June 26, 2025.
Entry Level Jail Training
N.R.C.J.T.A. will be starting the first of 4 Basic Entry Level Jail classes on January 9, 2025. If you are interested in becoming a Jail Officer, please contact the New River Valley Regional Jail about employment.

Please refer to the training calendar or contact your agency training coordinator for this information. Sign up should be done at agency level through your training coordinator.

Pre-Employment Meetings
The second Basic Entry Level Law Enforcement class of 2025 will begin July 3, 2025. We will have Pre-Employment meetings starting a few months before the class begins. We will post those dates closer to the start of the next class. Please check back for those dates or contact Captain Wes Ratcliff for further information.
